Lorenda Hattingh is a registered physiotherapist and proud member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1996.
Lorenda worked in the United States as a locum physical therapist across a range of outpatient and hospital-based settings, gaining broad clinical experience. She subsequently returned to South Africa, where she owned and operated a busy Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Physiotherapy clinic in Pretoria.
In 2002, Lorenda relocated to Canada with her family, beginning her Canadian career in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She made Vancouver Island home in 2005.
In January 2009, she founded Dynamic Focus Physiotherapy, where she continues to provide individualized, patient-centered care.
Through years of diverse clinical experience and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, Lorenda has developed an extensive and well-rounded skill set. At her core, she is a hands-on physiotherapist, with a treatment approach grounded in comprehensive assessment of the whole person. Her care integrates manual therapy, targeted therapeutic techniques, patient education, and functional exercise, with an emphasis on empowering patients through understanding their condition and actively participating in their recovery.
Lorenda has pursued advanced training in manual therapy, exercise prescription, vestibular rehabilitation, and has completed advanced certification in Cancer Rehabilitation.
Outside of clinical practice, Lorenda enjoys kayaking, hiking, and running, and values time spent camping and connecting with family and friends. She is an avid gardener and enjoys life on thefamily’s hobby & flower farm, “Inniebos”.
